I have a contentious relationship with the Isekai genre in general, but there's one work which falls under that umbrella that I absolutely adore, and that's .Hack//Sign. Often called simply "Dot Hack" ...

I didn't think it was all that bad, and around episode 13-16 or so actually had me very interested, but I agree that watching a dubbed version would probably be pure torture.
