NAIROBI, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- A training program for local Chinese language teachers was launched in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, on Sunday as part of efforts to promote Sino-Kenyan cultural ties.

Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., has received a $3 million grant to expand a program that provides training for anesthesia providers in Kenya, according to a report by The Kansas City Star.
