Switzerland made it into their fourth straight Round of 16 in the FIFA World Cup. The clinical Swiss beat Algeria 2-0 in Vancouver, cutting short Riyad Mahrez's final World Cup campaign.

Switzerland are through to the last-16 of the World Cup after beating Algeria 2-0. It is Switzerland's first win in the World Cup knockout stages since 1938.
