An EF-3 tornado killed two people in Beggs, damaging dozens of structures. Community volunteers are gathering at Crossroads Church to help affected residents recover.

Classes are resuming Tuesday at Three Rivers Community School, just days after a tornado swept through the area, leaving significant damage behind.

UPDATE: The National Weather Service in Tulsa said their survey team found EF-3 damage in Beggs, with maximum wind estimated to be 135-140 mph. in that storm. The City of Beggs saw significant tornado damage Friday night on several homes and a middle school. Two people sadly lost their lives, as well.

The Cass County sheriff identified a 12-year-old boy who died near Edwardsburg, and a funeral home obituary named a 65-year-old Union City woman.
