AUSTIN, Texas - The State Board of Education Friday instructed publishers to curtail positive coverage of Islam and include more favorable treatment of Christianity in future world-history textbooks.

The Texas State Board of Education, which last spring caused an uproar by revising its textbook standards, may do so again to address the way Islam and Christianity are depicted.
