美国ZDNET网站日前刊文介绍了这一情况，来自统计网站StatCounter的数据显示，Linux 桌面在全球桌面市场份额在2020年仅为 1.5%，但2024年就增长到4%以上，到2025年更创下美国市场新高，超过5%。

目前，Linux 6.18 LTS 的官方支持周期为两年，预计持续至 2027 年 12 月。如后续企业用户的测试、回溯补丁等投入较高，这一期限仍有可能延长。 Linux LTS 每年通常会选定当年最后一个主要版本，因此 6.18 进入 LTS 名单并不意外，外界此前也普遍预期该版本将被选为 LTS。
