The coolest hangout in the valley is a small storefront oozing with chain lube and elbow grease. Bike Works, just off Rainier Avenue in Columbia City, looks like your average neighborhood bike shop.

Twice a month, volunteers gather at Seacoast Church Summerville to fix up bicycles, combining a desire to serve and handy skills to help neighbors in need.
