Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodriguez said on Wednesday that she has appointed Paula Henao as oil minister, filling the key role as the country ‌overhauls its oil industry amid U.S. pressure.

Syria's defence ministry said on Tuesday that Sipan Hamo, commander ‌of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG), had been appointed deputy defence minister for the country's eastern territories.
