Give old batteries a new life by safely recycling them
Safely disposing of household batteries is good for the home and good for the environment. Dead batteries can leak heavy metals into soil and water.
Chemical waste is regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). It cannot be disposed of in regular trash or in the sewer system.
