This week's #PDB release has 315 new entries (pdbe.org/latest)! Here is a structure of ‘Protection of telomeres 1’ / POT1 protein bound to ds-DNA with an overhang. ‘POT-hole’ see orange-red phosphate at end of shorter DNA. Published @Science ➡️ PDBe.org/8sh1 Molecular level insight into how we protect our chromosomes. | Protein Data Bank in Europe (PDBe) | Facebook

Long thought to form a homohexamer, but now revealed to be homotetramer! Lower resolution structure of ERGIC-53 headgroup+stalk (pdbe.org/8jpg).
