Yesterday was Tom Waits’ birthday, and I’ve always loved his song “(I Hope That I Don’t) Fall In Love With You.” It’s definitely a little out of my usual wheelhouse, but some songs just stay with you over the years. I’ve always wondered what it might sound like if Doc Watson or Norman Blake had taken a swing at it… so here’s my best (and poorest!) attempt at a bluegrass interpretation.
