But, sometimes boils do not rupture on their own. Your Doctor May drain the boil by making an incision in it. Sometimes boils can recur. The presence of the bacterium Staphylococcus aureus can cause repeat cases of boils. Today was our first trip to the emergency room together because Sako had a boil. A boil is a painful, pus-filled bump that forms under your skin when bacteria infect and inflame one or more of your hair follicles.
