🫁 CO2 detectors are commonly used with intubation. A color change from purple to yellow indicates the presence of CO2; the tube made it into the trachea! 🫁 From there, we will connect the patient to continuous waveform Capnography. The rhyme we use: “if you don’t have a trace (Capnography), the tube is in the wrong place!” No trace = wrong place! A chest X-ray is then done to identify the depth of the tube.
