The Wheatstone bridge is used in many circuit applications, one of which is to measure an unknown resistance. The variable resistance is adjusted until no current flows through the galvanometer (which is basically a very sensitive ammeter). At this point, the bridge is said to be balanced. Applying Kirchhoff’s laws to the balanced Wheatstone bridge allows us to arrive at a simple equation for the unknown resistance. #electrical #electricalengineering #electronic #electronics #circuits | Electric
