Something rare and fun! Very rough deleted footage (no sound) from the Gandalf vs. Balrog, Mines of Moria sequence. You will quickly notice it is animated using a totally different style than the rest of the film. This is because it was supposed to be Gandalf's recollection of the battle told with voice over. The footage was partially restored from shooting animation cels from the Bakshi archives in the early 2000s. Like many other scenes, it never made it to the final cut... | Ralph Bakshi
