A quite dramatic colour change made this chemistry experiment really mesmerizing for Alex. After blending a few red cabbage leaves I poured purple cabbage juice into glasses. I added a little too many leaves, so I had to add more water to glasses for clearer colours. Easiest Braised Red Cabbage 1 head red cabbage, finely sliced Juice of 1 medium orange 2 tbsp brown sugar 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 1 cinnamon stick 1 sprig thyme Drizzle of Olive oil Salt, to taste 30-40ml water. Cook over a medium heat Cover and braise gently for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add small splashes of water as needed to keep the cabbage soft and glossy.
