Swifts are aerial acrobats who grace our skies from May to August. National Swift Awareness Week has been held each year since 2018 to celebrate these fabulous birds and encourage us all to do what we can to help them. This week is Swift Awareness Week so we're celebrating these fabulous birds, the community projects currently underway across the country to support them, and the things we can all do to help 'Save our Swifts'. Recent declines in swift populations are largely linked to the loss of nesting spaces as previous nesting sites in old buildings are blocked up or removed. But there is a way forward....
