Who runs the world? Although they can be large and intimidating, our tarantulas here in the states are actually quite peaceful little creatures. They spend that vast majority of their lives safely tucked underground in their burrows where they sit in ambush for prey to wander by. Female tarantulas additionally can live impressive lifespans reaching ages of 8-9-10 years and beyond even in the wild! It’s always a treat to encounter a large healthy tarantula like this and I just had to share it! Ha
