Women truly can’t catch a break. If you don’t want to give up your career to raise kids you’re painted as a shitty mom who doesn’t care. If you do, you’re lazy and bringing nothing to the table. Women shouldn’t HAVE to give up their careers. Just like they also shouldn’t be shamed for switching to being a SAHM if we want to. Childcare shouldn’t cost the same as a mortgage. The options should be ours. But for a lot of families it’s not. Maternity leave should be paid. But a lot of time it’s NOT.
