Charley had surgery to place her Mediport earlier that day. She was feeling pretty good for just having surgery. We had to wait until Charley got a little bigger to get her port because she was so tiny when she was diagnosed. At the time of diagnosis they placed a central line the only place they were able to, in her inner thigh very close to her diaper. It was an awful location but they tried several places first. Anytime she had a diaper blowout, which was usually a couple of times a day with

Charley’s was getting the cap changed on her Mediport line. It doesn’t hurt at all but it has to be done carefully, so no bacteria get in the line. Charley was 14 months old and very handsy. She was not happy about not being able to touch everything the nurse was touching. She let it be known too. 😂😂 | Smiles for Baby Charley
