The Spring Peepers are still going strong. A sound of spring, the chorus of peepers is the sound of the male frogs calling to the females to mate. Only male peepers can sing. They are nocturnal insectivores that are only about one to one and a half inches long. What a sound from a tiny frog! Their calls have registered up to 90 decibels about the level of a lawn mower! These frogs are common but the loss of wetlands is impacting their environment. #springpeepers #peepers #watershed #wetlands #gr
