During one of its 20 daily eruptions, Old Faithful Geyser will expel anywhere between 3,700 and 8,400 gallons of water 130-140 feet into the air. For perspective, the average American household uses 400 gallons of water per day. The geyser’s water can reach 203 F and the steam near its vent has been measured at 350 F.
