Ein Generator ist nichts anderes als ein Energiewandler. Er wandelt Bewegungsenergie in elektrische Energie um und kommt somit überall dort zum Einsatz, wo Strom erzeugt werden soll. Seine Funktionsweise basiert auf dem Prinzip der elektromagnetischen Induktion.
