We use these two trap types for almost all of our raccoon trapping. Dog proof traps are great for longer lines as you can pack a ton into a truck and get them out quickly but we don’t like using them in urban/suburban areas. Cage traps are great when you need to be discrete and remove the animal from the site for dispatch but there’s only so many you can fit in the truck. We keep both of them on hand so we can switch back and forth quickly no matter the conditions we find at the next set. #scien
