The wing chun clinch is learned in the first wooden dummy form. It's applied by positioning the hand around the neck of the opponent, while keeping the elbow of the clinched arm tucked to maintain structure. The clinch can be positioned on the inside or outside of the opponent's arm to gain control over the opponent's centerline. When an opening presents itself, the fighter in the clinch may attack the opponent's vulnerable areas. In this example we're displaying an elbow strike to the face. | W
