This flag once flew above a historic military fort in Dakota Territory in the 1860s. Only recently was it found in a dusty cardboard box above one of the old barracks. Today, it sits behind glass in an air tight case for preservation for years to come. We thought this would be an appropriate post for today, being it is Veterans Day.
