We took a large limb off this honey locust, which was extended over the neighbor’s roof. This was a bigger than ideal pruning cut, but there was nothing viable to reduce it back to which would have achieved the client & neighbor’s objectives in this case. Then we made numerous 2-4” reduction cuts in the upper canopy to reduce weight, leverage, and windsail. This will help to mitigate failure risk in future storms.
