Flash, a Northern Goshawk and Raptor-in-Residence here at the Alaska Raptor Center, has changed a lot over the last few years! When they are young, Northern Goshawks are brown and streaky, with narrow dark bands in the tail, and orange/ yellow eyes. As they reach adulthood, goshawks are dark slate gray above with pale gray barred underparts, a dark head with a wide white stripe over the eye and the eyes shift to orange/ red. | Alaska Raptor Center
