Many people are still asking where the quaggas on Table Mountain have gone! The park authorities asked us to remove them in November 2017 because of the grazing pressure, in a fynbos rehabilitation area, while the drought continues to bite. The quagga depicted in those old paintings and photos have a distinctly brown coat. It's been hard to fix that in our breeding herds - reducing the stripes is much easier.
