Sunderland Flying Boat Restoration
Short Sunderland MR.5 ML796 at Imperial War Museum Duxford. Probably the best known British flying boat design, the Sunderland played a key role in long range maritime patrol during WWII, closing as much as possible the 'gap' in mid-Atlantic that was exploited by U-Boats when hunting convoys.
