Haida master carver Sgwaayaans TJ Young from the Yaadaas Clan was the lead carver on the Kadashan Pole. The design of the pole dates back 200 years to the staff Kadashan’s Haida relatives gifted him to commemorate marriages between Haida and Tlingit people.
