On March 12, 1998 WCW Thunder aired on TBS from the Riverside Centroplex in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In the main event, WCW World Heavyweight Champion Sting faced off against “Macho Man” Randy Savage (with Miss Elizabeth). After Sting and Savage were both attacked by members of the NWO, a cable comes down from the ceiling and they hook up to fly into the rafters to end the show. | Davenport Sports Network

On August 13, 1998 WCW Thunder aired on The SuperStation TBS from Fargo, North Dakota. In the main event, Bret Hart defeated Lex Luger for the WCW United States Championship in front of 9,721 fans at the Fargodome. The win gave Hart the 2nd of his eventual 4 WCW United States Championship reigns. Luger had ended Hart’s first WCW United States Championship reign just 3 days earlier on the August 10th edition of Nitro. | Davenport Sports Network
