The Queensland Ambulance Service has rolled out a new Mechanical Chest Compression Device that assists paramedics in delivering effective, consistent, continuous compression's for patients in cardiac arrest. These devices allow cardiac compression's to be delivered safely in a moving ambulance, resulting in no interruption to patient care, a safer working environment for paramedics and ultimately increasing the survival rates for patients who suffer an out of hospital cardiac arrest.
