One of my most useful projects! Earlier this year, I swapped flimsy plastic shelves for a solid 27-gallon bin organizer built from 2x4s. If you’ve got an empty wall, you’ve got some storage potential. I used fifteen 2x4s and just three cuts: 30½” rails, 30” legs, and simple cross bracing. I beveled the rails, sanded everything smooth, then assembled the legs with a 1” gap between rails, locking it all together with 2½” screws. I set the bin height at 16” to accommodate two different bin brands.
